Southeast Asia infrastructure investment accelerates, rebar and flat products demand keeps growing
Rail transit, industrial parks and port expansion projects in multiple Southeast Asian countries have started construction in clusters over the past two years, driving continued growth in demand for rebar, plates and galvanised sheets.
Changes in demand structure
Compared with the previous demand structure dominated by housing construction, the share of rail transit and industrial plant projects is now higher. Such projects have higher requirements for batch consistency, delivery milestones and document completeness, and are more inclined to choose suppliers that can provide complete steel solutions.
Our preparations
- Stable shipping schedule resources have been established at major ports such as Manila, Jakarta and Laem Chabang
